HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth women's tennis went 3-4 at the USTA/ITA Northeast Regional Championship on Saturday. Senior Katherine Yau won her Round of 32 match and will compete in the Round of 16 on Sunday.
Dartmouth was well represented in the Round of 64, as six Green players were in action throughout the day. Junior Taylor Ng had a 6-2, 6-0 victory over St. John's Zofia Stanisz, while Yau had a 6-1, 6-1 win over Brown's Katie Ta. Sophomore Julia Schroeder and junior Jacqueline Crawford went to three sets against their opponenta, but ultimately fell.
In the Round of 32, Ng fell to Penn's Kana Daniel, 6-3, 6-2, and Yau took down Rima Asatrain of Columbia, 6-3, 6-4.
On Sunday, doubles play will begin at 10 a.m. Schroeder and Yau are set to take on Boston College, seniors Suzy Tang and Julienne Keong will face Syracuse, and Ng and sophomore Kristina Mathis will play Boston University. Yau's singles match is scheduled to take place around 11 a.m.
