HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth women's tennis team returned to the courts for day four of the USTA/ITA Northeast Regional Championship on Sunday, going 4-2 throughout the day.
In the Round of 16, senior Katherine Yau and sophomore Julia Schroeder won by default over Boston College's Lexi Borr and Jackie Urbinati, advancing to the quarterfinals, where the Big Green duo fell to Alyza Benotto and Dayna Lord of Brown.
Junior Taylor Ng and sophomore Kristina Mathis went 2-0, handing Sabrina Favbyshec and Johanna Hyoty of Boston University an 8-2 loss in the Round of 16 before taking down Yale's Tina Jiang and Valeria Shklover, 8-7(4), in the quarterfinals.
In singles action, Yau took on Honami Yazawa of Drexel in the Round of 16 and walked away with a 7-5, 6-3 victory.
On Monday, Yau will play Marika Cusick of Cornell for a berth in the semifinals. In doubles, Ng and Mathis will play for a spot in the finals against Syracuse.
