vs Maribel Sanchez Souther Invitational

HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men's cross country team will step up to the starting line Friday at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx seeking its first Ivy League title since 2005.
The second winningest program in Ivy history, the Big Green will be trying to add a 15th championship banner to the walls of Leverone Field House when all is said and done at the completion of the 8K race that starts at 11 a.m.
The 2015 Heptagonal Championship returns to Van Cortlandt Park for the first time since 2010 and ends a four-year stretch at Princeton's West Windsor Fields. In that last Heps meet in the Bronx, Dartmouth claimed second (55) behind only Princeton (55), a team that has since won three titles on its home course.
This season, the Big Green have four top-four team finishes, including a win to open the season at the Dartmouth Invitational and a pair of second-place showings at the Boston College Invite and Brown's Rothenberg Run.
Senior Brian Masterson was the top harrier in the home meet, helping Dartmouth to a perfect 15 points. At BC's Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown, it was fellow senior Curtis King's eighth-place finish that allowed the Green to claim second in an extremely talented field of teams from across the nation.
The women's 6K race will follow the completion of the men at noon, which will then be followed by the conference's award ceremony for team trophies as well as All-Ivy League honors for individuals.
