Dartmouth Remains Undefeated After 7-2 Victory

LANCASTER, Pa. – On the heels of its historic victory over second-ranked Harvard, the No.11 Dartmouth men's squash team defeated tenth-ranked Franklin and Marshall, 7-2.

The victory improves the Big Green to 2-0, while the Diplomats dropped to 3-3.

Freshman Matthew Giegerich built off the success he had against the Crimson, winning his match 3-0. Junior Nicholas Harrington and senior James Fisch also took down their Franklin and Marshall opponents in straight games to give Dartmouth the early 2-0 lead.

Sophomore Alvin Heumann came from behind to take his match into a deciding fifth game before ultimately falling to his opponent. Senior Kyle Martino brought the Big Green closer to victory after he won his match 3-1. After winning his match, Brian Giegerich clinched the win for Dartmouth taking down the Diplomat's Sean Kenny in four games.

Big Green freshmen, Carson Spahr and Samuel Epley also recorded their first collegiate victories against Franklin and Marshall.

Dartmouth will look to remain undefeated when the Big Green take on Navy and George Washington on the road today at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
