Giordano, DeLozier and Women's Team Honored for Academic Success

NEW ORLEANS – Senior Sarah B. DeLozier and junior Dana Giordano were named members of the 2014 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division I Cross Country All-Academic honors as announced Wednesday morning.

Additionally, the Dartmouth women's team was one of 226 programs from across the country to earn All-Academic Team standing for posting a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0. The Big Green earned a 3.39 GPA under first-year head coach Courtney Jaworski en route to a second Ivy League title in as many years and a berth in the NCAA Championship.

DeLozier and Giordano were amongst the 153 women from across Division I to earn the individual academic distinction and meet the criteria of having compiled a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and have finished in the top 15 finishers (or 10 percent) at regionals or as an All-American at the national meet.

Giordano is studying psychology and has one year remaining at Dartmouth, while DeLozier is wrapping up her collegiate career this spring majoring in classical studies and literature.
