THIS WEEK
The Dartmouth men's lacrosse team will hit the road for the first time in three weeks, traveling to New York to face No. 7 Cornell in an Ivy League game scheduled for 1 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
For the second contest in a row, Jack Korzelius netted the game-winner, helping the Big Green battle through eight ties to defeat Vermont, 16-15, at home on Tuesday. Wiley Osborne played a huge hand in the win, netting three goals and assisting on four. He currently leads the team with 16 points. Adam Fishman also had a strong performance, finding the back of the net five times. After Dartmouth struck first, Vermont went on to score three straight to take the lead, an advantage that lasted for the majority of the game. The two teams traded points in the fourth; Jack Connolly tied the score at 14, while Osborne put the home team one ahead with 5:38 to go. Vermont scored a minute later, but Korzelius' tally with 3:24 remaining gave Dartmouth the 16-15 lead that lasted until the final horn. The Green outshot the Catamounts, 50-44. Dartmouth went 20-for-35 on the face-off, with Phil Hession going 15-for-26. Blair Friedensohn earned his second win of the season, spending all 60 minutes between the pipes and making nine saves.
SCOUTING THE BIG RED
Dartmouth will have a tough opponent in Cornell. The Big Red are 6-2 overall, falling only to Syracuse (14-6) and Virginia (15-14) so far. Their two victories came last week in the form of 10-9 victories over both Colgate and Penn, with the game against the Raiders going to overtime, while the contest against the Quakers went to triple-overtime. Matt Donovan leads the team in a lot of areas: goals (27), assists (13), points (40) and game-winners (2).
LAST TIME AGAINST CORNELL
The Green opened its home slate against the Big Red on March 29, 2014, falling by a score of 19-4. Cornell stormed out to a 4-0 lead before Adam Philie got the home team on the board with his second of the season with 5:08 left in the opening quarter. Adam Fishman scored his first of the season with 2:09 remaining in the second period before the visitors responded with a Connor Hunt goal just 13 seconds later to take a 10-2 lead into the intermission. A barrage of scoring opened the second half as four goals were recorded in the first 3:48 of play. Fishman's second of the day capped that stretch before Jack McCormick found the back of the netting nearly four minutes later with his fourth of the spring. However, the stifling defense of the second-ranked Big Red held the Green and White without a goal the rest of the way to pick up the conference victory.
ALL THESE HONORS…
After the dramatic conclusion to the game on Saturday, Hession was named the conference's Co-Player of the Week, while Korzelius was tabbed as the Rookie of the Week. The next day, Hession was selected as the Epoch/Lacrosse Magazine Player of the Week and Korzelius was named the Corvias ECAC Player of the Week.
CALLAHAN & CO.
After a 2-10 campaign last season, the Dartmouth men's lacrosse team is looking to rebuild in 2015. That rebuild began last summer with the hiring of Callahan, who came to Hanover after spending the last seven years as an assistant coach and defensive coordinator at Lehigh. Callahan brought in Tucker Kear and Kevin Gould to round out the Big Green's new look on the sidelines.
LEADING THE WAY
With his three goals and four assists against Vermont, Osborne has now taken over the lead of the team in points (16). Korzelius remains top in markers (13), while essiohHession is first in ground balls (46) and face-offs won (60-of-100).

Korzelius leads the way with 13 markers, while Key has netted a pair of goals and assists for four points.
