Sailing Takes Fourth at Admiral Moore Team Race

HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth sailing team competed in three regattas over the weekend with a fourth place finish in the Admiral Moore Team Race.

The fourth place finish saw the Big Green go 10-8 with skippers Hunter Johnstone, Erik Weis and Nathaniel Johansson leading crewmembers John Lewis, Mia Steck and Connor Lehan. SUNY Maritime won the event going 15-3.

At the Aaron Szamecki Team Race, Dartmouth went 9-15 for a fifth place finish. Skippers Scott Houck, Deirdre Lambert, Charles Lalumiere and Colin Murphy led the race. Lizzie Guynn, Nate Greason and Abigail Rohman were the three crewmembers. The College of Charleston went 21-3 to claim the race.

In the final race of the weekend, the Jan T. Friis Team Race at Roger Williams, weather played a large part in the event as the Bog Green dropped to eighth place and finished with a 4-8 record. The team consisted of skippers Ian Storck, Robert Floyd and Duncan Williford and crewmembers Madeleine Cooney, Julia McKown, Sophie Kerr and Hope Wilson. Yale won the race with an 11-3 finish.

The Big Green are slated to compete at the Dellenbaugh Women's Race, Marchiando Team Race, Barque Eagle Team Race and the BU Trophy.
