HANOVER, N.H. — Fresh off its NCAA Tournament run, the Dartmouth men's soccer team is pleased to announce that three players have signed professional contracts in the USL Pro League.
Stefan Defregger will play for the Wilmington Hammerheads, an affiliate to the expansion New York FC of the MLS. Defregger has played in four games so far while acclimating to his surroundings. Defregger joins Wilmington after being named to the 2014 All-Ivy Second Team. Used as the primary set piece server, Defregger scored his first collegiate goal late in the season.
Colin Heffron will suit up for New York Red Bulls II, whose parent company shares the same name. The Red Bulls play their games at Red Bulls Arena and Columbia's Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium. Heffron was named to the USL Team of the week (3/31) after he was a substitution during a shutout over the Rochester Rhinos.
Heffron was a three-time All-Ivy member, collecting second-team honors twice with a first-team selection as a junior. As a rookie, he was named Dartmouth's Will Shue Award winner as the program's top freshman.
Gabe Hoffman-Johnson is a member of St. Louis FC, who is funded by the Chicago Fire. Hoffman-Johnson had a breakout year as a fifth-year senior and was named to the NSCAA All-East Region Team as well as the All-Ivy First Team.
Dartmouth also has four recent alum playing professionally either internationally or domestic.

Mkosana spent all of 2014 with the Rowdies, where he played in 26 games with two goals. On November 24, 2014 he signed with New York Cosmos, who play their home games at Hofstra University.
