HANOVER, N.H. – Head coach Chris Drake has announced the Dartmouth men's tennis schedule for the upcoming 2015-16 season. The Big Green will take part in six tournaments and 23 regular season dual matches.
As it has done for the past two years, Dartmouth will open competition at the three-day Farnsworth Ivy Plus Tournament (Sept. 18-20) on Princeton's campus before heading to Tulsa, Oklahoma, for the ITA All-American Championship (Oct. 3-11). Unlike last season, however, the Green will host a tournament, the Dartmouth Invitational, which will take place from Oct. 9-11.
The ITA Northeast Regionals (Oct. 22-27) will take place in New Haven, Connecticut, while the final tournament of the fall, the Harvard UTR Open, will be Nov. 6-8 in Cambridge.
After a two-month break, the Big Green will open the spring with five consecutive home matches against Buffalo and Bryant (Jan. 16), Clemson (Jan. 22), Penn State (Jan. 24), Drake (Jan. 30) and Tulane (Jan. 31). Dartmouth will be on the road for matches against North Carolina State and Old Dominion before traveling to the Big Apple for the ECAC Championship (Feb. 12-14).
The Green will wrap up the month with matches against Minnesota (Feb. 19) and Sacred Heart (Feb. 27), playing at home for the last time in a month and a half.
Following a two-week hiatus, Dartmouth will trade the New Hampshire winter for some warmth in Texas, facing Midwestern State (March 17), SMU (March 19), TCU (March 20) and Tulsa (March 22), before arriving in Tennessee to take on Memphis (March 24).
Ivy League play will commence in New York when the Big Green take on Columbia and Cornell (April 2-3). They will host Princeton and Penn (April 9-10) and Brown (April 17 – Senior Day), while playing on the road against Yale (April 15) and Harvard (April 23).
