QUECHEE, Vt. – The Dartmouth men's golf team sits in first after 18 holes of play at the Quechee Club Collegiate Challenge Saturday afternoon.
Playing on the par-72 Highland course, the Big Green sit first in a field of 12 teams with a 285 (-3). Harvard is five strokes back in second with a 290 (+2).
Dartmouth's John Lazor is alone atop the leaderboard with a five-under 67 on the first day of competition. Scott Jaster's 71 (-1) has him tied for sixth in a field that features 77 competitors.
Ian Kelsey's 73 (+1) and Charles Cai's 74 (+2) rounded out the scoring for the host team through the first round of action. Kelsey's score has him in a tie for 15th, while Cai is currently tied for 19th on the leaderboard.
Sean Fahey shot an eight-over 80 on Friday as well.
A second Dartmouth team also took to the links with Dylan Rusk's 69 (-3) and Jeffrey Lang's 76 (+4) comprising the only two scores.
