TUESDAY'S GAME
The Dartmouth men's soccer team heads to Northeastern for the team's final non conference game of the regular season.
SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
Northeastern heads into Tuesday's tilt in the Bay State after suffering a 2-1 loss to the College of Charleston last Saturday. The loss eliminated the Huskies from the postseason, as Northeastern needed the victory to extend its season, however the Huskies had a decent October, winning four of their last six games. On the offensive side of the ball, three Northeastern players are tied with two goals apiece, while Khori Bennett leads the team with six points and 32 shots. In goal, Johnathan Thuresson has seen the majority of action with a 6-7-0 record and 49 saves in 13 starts.
LAST TIME AGAINST NORTHEASTERN
On Nov. 3, 2015, the Big Green defeated the Huskies, 2-0 at Burnham Field. Amadu Kunateh scored the game-winning goal in the 75th minute with a highlight reel goal on a pass from Alberto Gorini. In the 84th minute, Dartmouth added an insurance goal when Eduvie Ikoba, fired a shot that sailed just above Northeastern's goalkeeper to give the Big Green a 2-0 lead.
LAST TIME OUT
In a hard fought game at Burnham Field between the Ivy League's top two teams, Dartmouth fell, 1-0 to rival Harvard last Saturday evening. Both squads headed into Saturday's contest knowing the victor would gain the upper hand in the race for the Ivy League title with just two games remaining in Ancient Eight play for both schools. Early in the 79th minute, the Crimson scored the only goal of the contest when Sam Brown blasted a shot from about 20 yards out that found the back of the net.
FAMILIAR FOE
The Huskies are coached by a name familiar to the Big Green. Former Dartmouth associate head coach, Chris Gbandi is in his first year as head coach of Northeastern in 2016. Gbandi, a 2000 Hermann Trophy winner and three-time All-American at UConn, coached the Big Green for two seasons and helped guide the Big Green to a pair NCAA Tournament appearances in 2014 and 2015.
THE RACE FOR FIRST
Following the loss to Harvard, Dartmouth is now tied for second with Columbia in the Ivy League standings. With two games remaining in Ancient Eight play for all three teams, next weekend's Ivy League slate will help determine the winner. The Big Green will head west to Ithaca to take on Cornell, while the Crimson host the Lions in a pivotal showdown in Cambridge.
RISING IN THE RANKINGS
Dartmouth is ranked No. 20 in the nation in the NCAA Men's Soccer RPI rankings. The Big Green are the highest Ancient Eight school on the list that is based on a team's wins, losses and its strength of schedule.

Dartmouth has played to five double-overtime draws this season. The last time the Big Green recorded four ties was in 2013 in Bobby Clark Head Coach of Dartmouth Men's Soccer Chad Riley's first season at the helm. The most draws in a season for Dartmouth is seven in 2004.
BETWEEN THE PIPES
James Hickok has performed well for the Big Green in 2016. He is second in the Ivy League in save percentage (.810) and third in goals against (11).
