HANOVER, N.H. – The fifth-ranked Dartmouth men's squash team fell to Ivy League foe No. 4 Yale, 8-1 at the Berry Squash Courts on Friday afternoon.
The loss drops the Big Green to 8-4, while the Bulldogs improve to 11-2 overall and remain undefeated in Ivy League play. The Yale victory sets up a potential match for the conference title on Sunday when the Bulldogs take on No. 7 Harvard.
Sophomore Alvin Heumann produced the only victory for Dartmouth defeating his opponent in four games. Heumann narrowly lost the third game denying him the sweep.
Senior James Fisch started strong winning the first frame in extra points before losing the next three. Sophomore Brian Giegerich and junior Glen Brickman both took their competitors to extra points, but fell short.
The Big Green return to the court on Sunday to take on Brown in Providence.
