PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The seventh-ranked Dartmouth men's squash team bounced back with a 7-2 victory over No. 16 Brown in Providence on Sunday afternoon.
The victory improves the Big Green to 9-4, while the Bears drop to 4-10.
Freshman Carson Spahr and junior Glen Brickman got Dartmouth off to a solid start winning in straight games. Juniors Nick Harrington and Andrew Field stumbled, as each fell to their opponents 3-1.
With the overall match tied 2-2, senior Alexander Greer won his first match of the season with a 3-0 victory. Sophomore Brian Giegerich and freshman Brian Giegerich also swept their opponents in straight games sealing the win for the Big Green. Senior James Fisch and sophomore Alvin Heumann both recorded 3-1 victories after establishing 2-0 leads in their matches.
Dartmouth returns to action on Friday, Feb. 26 for the first day of the CSA Team Championship in New Haven, Conn.
