GREENVILLE, S.C. – After the second round of the Furman Intercollegiate, the Dartmouth men's golf team sits in sixth place with combined two-day score of 572 (-4) at the par 72 course.
Georgia State leads the field heading into Sunday's final round with a combined score of 560 (-16), as Ivy League foe Harvard is not far behind at 564 (-12).
On Saturday, the Big Green shot a combined 282, eight strokes better then their first round score.
Junior Jeffery Lang was the top finisher for Dartmouth, as the Lexington, Mass native sits in 10th place overall in the tournament. He shot a 70 (-2), with two birdies on the front nine and an eagle on the par five sixth hole. Lang struggled a bit on the back nine, but ended his round with a birdie on the par four final hole.
Sophomore Ian Kelsey also had a solid outing with three birdies on the back nine shooting a team-best second round score of 69 (-3).
Junior Scott Jaster shot a shot a 70 (-2) as Charles Cai finished his day with a 77 (+5).
The final round of the Furman Intercollegiate takes place tomorrow at 10 a.m.
