HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth women's tennis swept UMass, 7-0, at the Boss Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon. The Big Green improved to 9-1, while the Minutewomen dipped to 5-5.
Senior Taylor Ng and junior Kristina Mathis had an easy 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles and that was followed by a 6-4 victory by junior Julia Schroeder and freshman Racquel Lyn and a closer 7-6 win by senior Jacqueline Crawford and freshman Allison McCann. Dartmouth entered singles with a 1-0 lead.
Ng started off singles with a 6-1, 6-2 win at the No. 1 position and the Big Green clinched the match after freshman Chuyang Guan and Lyn were victorious at the No. 6 and 5 positions. With a 4-0 edge, Crawford, Mathis and Schroeder all added two-set wins to end the day.
Dartmouth will have two weeks away from competition before heading to California for a four-match spring break road trip, starting with a match against San Diego on Saturday, March 19.
