PRINCETON, N.J. – Dartmouth volleyball senior
Zoe Leonard was named second team All-Ivy League, as announced by the conference office on Thursday afternoon. This is the first time in her career that she has received a postseason award.
Â
The Hilo, Hawaii, native concluded her senior year with a career-high 320 digs, 72 assists and seven service aces. She was second in the conference with a career-high 4.49 digs per set and her 33 digs against Brown on Nov. 2 was also a personal record and tied her for seventh in the all-time record book.
Â
Leonard found herself in a few categories in Dartmouth's all-time record book. Her 936 career digs places her 16th, while her 549 assists puts her 13th and 66 career service aces has her 17th.
Â
"I am very happy to see that the Ivy coaches recognized Zoe this year," head coach
Gilad Doron said. "Zoe went through a lot over the past four years and I am very proud of her accomplishments during her time here, but especially this year, as she played her best volleyball. Zoe's contribution on and off the court is beyond what you see on the stats.
Â
"She has a very high volleyball IQ and her technical skills are as good as any player in the country," Doron continued. "She has been a great teammate throughout her time with us and we are very thankful for everything she has given our program, the department and the college."
