PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Dartmouth men's swimming and diving is still in sixth place (238 points) after the second day of the Bruno Invitational on Saturday. Villanova is within reach with its 263 points.

The day was highlighted by
Connor LaMastra breaking the Dartmouth record in the 100 fly with his NCAA B-cut time of 47.33. He finished first by over a tenth of a second.

The Big Green opened the finals session by placing sixth in the 200-yard medley relay (1:31.58). Made up of
Joe Moll,
Connor Richmond,
Connor LaMastra and
Luke Rohlen, Dartmouth left over a second between it and Villanova in seventh. Moll swam in the B final of the 400-yard IM, taking 14th (4:01.98).

In the 200-yard freestyle B final,
Carter Jacobsen and
John Hall came in 12th (1:40.97) and 14th (1:41.27), respectively, while
Stas Van Genderen (1:42.76) and Tang-e Tan (1:42.90) also swam the event. Richmond was fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke (56.60), touching just two one-hundredths of a second ahead of Peter Lazorchak of Johns Hopkins.

On the 3-meter diving board,
AJ Krok took fifth in the A final (305.10), improving from his score of 228.20 earlier in the day.
Ray Neistat also picked up a few points by taking ninth in prelims (224.25).

The Big Green ended the day by taking fifth in the 800-freestyle relay (6:43.18). The team of LaMastra, Jacobsen,
John Hall and Moll left a three and a half second gap between them and Columbia in sixth.
