Senor (2018-19): Captain … in the meet against Harvard and Cornell, he competed in the 200 free (1:44.67) and 200 back (1:59.58) … at the Bruno Invitational, he swam the 50 free (21.02), 200 free (1:40.97), 200 back (1:53.08) and 100 free (47.08) … at the Ivy League Championship, he swam the 50 free (20.88), 200 free (1:39.48), 100 free (45.33) and was part of the record breaking 800 free relay (6:33.83), 200 free relay (1:22.48) and 400 free relay (2:59.34) … received the team’s Lutkus Award.
Junior (2017-18): Against Yale and Penn, he swam the 200 free (1:44.23), 50 free (22.19), 100 free (47.28) and 500 free (4:44.97) … swam a best time in the 50 free (21.93) at the Tate Ramsden Invitational … at Ivies, he swam best times in the 200 free (1:40.00) and 100 free (45.37) … was part of the 800 free relay (6:34.43) and 400 free relay (2:59.87), the latter of which broke the school record … received the team’s Lutkus Award.
Sophomore (2016-17): At the Bruno Invitational, he swam the 200 free (1:42.63), 500 free (4:35.59) and 1650 free (16:05.30) … competed in the 1000 free (9:50.08) against Yale and Penn … won the 1650 (16:15.12) at the Dartmouth Invitational … swam a 9:47.88 in the 1000 against Columbia … at the Ivy League Championship, he swam the 1000 free (9:29.43) and 1650 free (16:03.58).
Freshman (2015-16): Opened his collegiate career at the Big Al Invitational, where he swam the 200 free (1:41.87) … competed in the 500 free (4:51.08) and 1000 free (9:55.03) against Penn and Yale … at the Dartmouth Invite, he swam the 100 free (48.77) and 200 free (1:46.31) … at the Ivy League Championship, he competed in the 1650 free (15:43.01) and 1000 free (9:20.48) … was also part of the 800 free relay (6:41.64) … named the team’s Most Outstanding Freshman.
Before Dartmouth: Five-time letterwinner in swimming and track and field at Lakeside High School … captain of the swim team as a senior … WIAA team champion (2011-12) … won the 100 free and 200 IM at the Metro League Championship (2014-15) … placed first in the 200 free at the Sea King District 2 Championship (2014-15).
Personal: Carter O’Brien Jacobsen is the son Brien and Catharine Jacobsen … both parents attended Dartmouth and graduated in 1986 … father played hockey for the Big Green.
