MIDWEEK GAME
The Dartmouth women's hockey team will host New Hampshire at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. This is the Big Green's second of two mid-week games this season.
LAST TIME OUT
Dartmouth went 1-1 at home this weekend against ECAC Hockey opponents.
Dartmouth vs. Union
Trailing by a goal less than a minute into the first, the Green turned things around to defeat Union, 4-2, on Friday. The win was highlighted by a shorthanded goal by
Sara McClanahan, a first for Dartmouth since Laura Stacey '16 netted one on Feb. 7, 2015.
Leading the way for Dartmouth were
Gabby Billing – who had her first multi-point performance of her collegiate career – and
Sydney Hill with her career-high two helpers.
Emily McLaughlin picked up her first collegiate point by assisting on the first goal.
Christine Honor looked good, making 22 saves in the win. Union's attempt on the power play was fruitless, as Dartmouth's PK unit was successful on all four of its kills.
Dartmouth vs. RPI
McLaughlin scored her first collegiate goal in the 2-1 loss to Rensselaer on Saturday.
The Big Green sophomore picked up her second point of the afternoon, after assisting on Dartmouth's first goal on Friday. Billing and McClanahan also had a point apiece by assisting. Honor ended the game with 29 saves.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
After a rough start to their season saw them go 1-9-2 in the first 12 games, the Wildcats turned things around and are currently on a five-game unbeaten streak following wins over Holy Cross (4-1), RPI (4-1) and Merrimack (3-2, 4-3 OT) and a tie against RPI (1-1).
Taylor Wenczkowski is first on the team in goals (6) and points (10), while three other players are right behind with nine points each.
LEADING THE WAY
Bracken and McClanahan are now tied for first on the team with seven points each. Bracken has netted four goals and added on three assists, while McClanahan has three goals and four helpers.
LAST TIME AGAINST UNH
On Oct. 22, 2017,
Caroline Shaunessy netted a 5-on-3 goal in the 6-1 loss to UNH in a non-conference road tilt.
Hailey Noronha '18, last year's captain, assisted on the tally.
Honor played the first 24 minutes and had 10 saves while being saddled with the loss.
Shannon Ropp came in early in the second, making a total of 19 saves and allowing a pair of goals in the remaining 36 minutes. She ended up with a .905 save percentage.
BETWEEN THE PIPES
In 10 games started and 594 minutes played, Honor has made 263 while allowing 30 goals.
Kayla Wormsbecher has appeared in three games and started two, making 62 saves and allowing eight goals.
