Dartmouth Earns AVCA Award

HANOVER, N.H. - The Dartmouth volleyball team earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Award, as announced by the league office on Monday. The Big Green have received the award for six of the last seven seasons.
A record 973 teams earned the award for the 2017-18 season. This number broke the previous year's record of 835 to set an all-time high.
The award, which was initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
There were a total of 163 Division I programs on the list.
