HANOVER, N.H. – Head coach
Chris Drake has announced the Dartmouth men's tennis 2018-19 schedule, which features seven tournaments, 12 non-conference opponents and the usual seven Ivy League matches to cap the regular season.
Â
The Big Green will play in three rather spaced out tournaments in September: Southern Intercollegiates (Athens, Ga.), Ivy Plus Invitational (Princeton, N.J. and New Haven, Conn.) and the ITA All-American Championship (Tulsa, Okla.). The ITA Northeast Regionals (Princeton, N.J.) and the Dartmouth Invitational will take place in October, while the Gopher Invitational/Yale Invitational will wrap up the fall.
Â
Upon returning to the court two months later, Dartmouth will play its first dual match of the season at home against Indiana (Jan. 20). The Green will then head to Columbia for the ITA Kickoff Weekend (Jan. 25).
Â
February is a busy one: Dartmouth will play two home matches, three away and the ECAC Indoor Championship at Penn. To wrap up non-conference matches, the Big Green will partake in the Rice Invitational (March 22-24), taking on Texas Tech, Utah State and Rice.
Â
Dartmouth will play its seven Ivy matches in April to end the regular season. The Green will be on the road against Princeton and Penn (April 6-7) and Brown (April 12) before returning home for three against Yale (April 14), Columbia and Cornell (April 20-21). The match date against Harvard has not yet been determined.
Â
The 2017-18 season was a successful one for Dartmouth, which won its first Ivy League title in 21 years.
