THIS WEEKEND
•   The Dartmouth men's hockey team heads back out on the road for the final two matchups of the current five-game road trip.
•   The final swing of the trip takes Dartmouth to Colgate and No. 15 Cornell this weekend for a pair of ECAC Hockey games.
LAST TIME OUT
•   The Big Green are coming off a 1-1-0 weekend at No. 6 Quinnipiac (1-5) and defending league champion Princeton (5-0).
•   With the loss in Hamden and the win in Princeton, Dartmouth earned a season split with both teams in 2018-19.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
•   Colgate is an interesting team to figure out in 2018-19. One of the lowest-scoring teams (1.45 Goals/G) in the country and No. 12 in ECAC Hockey, the Raiders are 3-3-2 in league play coming into the weekend.
•   The team is ninth in the league standings with eight points, but is one of four teams to have played just eight ECAC games so far, giving them games in hand and an edge over several ahead of them.
•   Overall the team is 6-12-2 this year following a pair of home losses last weekend to non-conference UMass Lowell (3-0 and 4-1).
•   Bobby McMann leads Colgate in goals (5) and points (12), while tied with Nick Austin and Josh McKechney for the team lead in assists with seven each.
•   Cornell comes into the weekend ranked 15th in the latest USCHO national poll and 14th in the USA Hockey rankings.
•   After a weekend sweep of No. 13 Arizona State (6-1 and 3-2), the Big Red pushed their unbeaten streak to five games (4-0-1).
•   Dartmouth and Cornell are currently tied for third place in the ECAC Hockey standings with 11 points each with the Red having a game in hand on their green counterparts.
•   Scoring is spread out amongst the Cornell players with Morgan Barron leading the team in points (15), Mitch Vanderlaan in assists (12) and Cam Donaldson in goals (9).
•   Sophomore Matthew Galajda is looking to return to the form that earned him All-America honors as a freshman as he boasts a 2.53 goals against average and an .891 save percentage this year. Austin McGrath is 3-1-1 this season with a 1.84 GAA and .932 save percentage with the lone loss coming at Dartmouth on Nov. 30 (3-2).
AGAINST THE RAIDERS AND RED
•   Dartmouth edged Cornell, 3-2, in the Hanover game back on the final day of November thanks to a third-period goal from
Cam Strong.
•   That win proved to be the 309th in the Dartmouth career of Koenig Family Head Coach
Bob Gaudet '81, moving him into sole possession of first place amongst head coaches in program history, passing Eddie Jeremiah '30.
•   The following evening, the Green and White held another third-period lead thanks to another Strong goal, but were unable to earn the win as Colgate's McKechney tied the game at 8:25 and earned a point for both teams.
"GC"
•   Starting this weekend, the Big Green men's and women's teams will be wearing patches with "GC" to honor the late George Crowe.
•   Crowe coached both the men and women's teams for a combined 21 seasons between 1975 and 1998.
•   The Dartmouth coaching legend passed away at his home in Florida on Sunday, Jan. 6 at the age of 82.
ON THE ROAD
•   Dartmouth is 1-1-1 on this current road trip.
•   Those three games have served as a unique mix of outcomes with a tie (Bentley), a lopsided loss (Quinnipiac) and a dominant win (Princeton).
•   Despite the 1-1-1 mark, Dartmouth has played better in those three road games. Here's how they stack up against the last three home games.

POINTS FOR MR. 100!
•   Captain
Kevan Kilistoff returned to the lineup at Quinnipiac after missing the Bentley game.
•   In doing so, he became the fourth player this season and the 104th in program history to reach 100 career games played.
•   Against the Bobcats, he assisted on the lone Dartmouth goal, while he found the back of the net the next evening at Princeton for his second of the year.
•   Kilistoff and Warpecha are the only Dartmouth players with active point streaks (2) right now. Â
THE GARDEN STATE KID
•   Freshman
Drew O'Connor continues to be a force up front for Dartmouth this season.
•   Playing an hour south of his hometown of Chatham, New Jersey, and in front of nearly three dozen family and friends, O'Connor scored a first-period power-play goal and assisted on
Carl Hesler's second-period tally for his fourth multi-point game of the season.
•   The unassisted PPG in the first was his team-leading eighth goal of the season, passing
Quin Foreman with whom he was sharing the lead prior to the game.
•   Those eight goals are tied with Quinnipiac's Wyatt Bongiovanni for most by an ECAC Hockey rookie this season, while his 14 points are fourth amongst the league's first-year players and tied with
Will Graber for the team lead.
•   O'Connor is the only rookie in the league to lead his team in goals without sharing the top spot with a teammate.
•   O'Connor is tied with Denver's Cole Guttman for the national lead in goals per game by a rookie this year as both players are averaging 0.50 per contest in their first season.
FIRST!
•  Â
Daniel Warpecha finally broke through on the score sheet with his first goal of the season at Quinnipiac.
•   The junior's 12th career marker came with just 20.1 seconds remaining in the opening frame, marking the second time this season that Dartmouth has scored in the final minute of the first period.
•   The goal snapped a 16-game drought without a marker for the Illinois native who last scored in the Game 1 victory at Harvard last season. That proved to be the game winner in the lone triumph of the three-game quarterfinal series loss.
SECOND!
•  Â
Alex Jasiek's two-goal effort at Princeton was strikingly similar to the only other two-goal performance of his career.
•   Jasiek scored twice in the first period against the Tigers in the opening 12 minutes. The first proved to be the game winner as Dartmouth held Princeton scoreless, while the second came on the power play and gave the visitors a 3-0 lead.
•   Jasiek's last (and only) two-goal game was at Cornell on Jan. 27, 2017 when he notched a pair of third-period power-play goals just 62 seconds apart to turn a 2-1 Big Green deficit into a 3-2 lead. The second of those two scores proved to be the game winner as the Green held on for the 4-2 win in Ithaca.
THIRD!
•  Â
Adrian Clark turned aside all 25 shots he faced Saturday night at Princeton for his third career shutout and second of the season.
•   All three of Clark's career shutouts have come on the road as he blanked Quinnipiac in Hamden last season and Yale in New Haven this year. He actually had a stretch of 157:23 without a goal allowed in the New Haven area before QU's Chase Priskie scored on the power play at 12:23 of the second on Friday night.
•   The 25 saves against Princeton were his lowest total in any of those three games as he had a career-high 43 last season at Quinnipiac (0-0) and 31 at Yale (3-0) on Nov. 10.
LET'S KEEP LOOKING AT THE FIRST
•   At the mid-season break (Dec. 15), Dartmouth was the second worst team in the nation in terms of first-period scoring at just 0.36 goals per game in the opening frame. Â
•   The only team worse was Colgate at 0.13 first-period goals per contest.
•   Since coming back from the winter break, Dartmouth is second in the nation with an average of 1.80 goals per game in the first 20 minutes, trailing only Lake Superior State (2.33). Dartmouth's three power-play goals are the most of any team in the nation as well, tied with Providence and Minnesota.
•   Jasiek, Cam Donaldson of Cornell (Saturday's opponent) and Diego Cuglietta of Lake State all have four goals in the first in that stretch to lead the county, while Donaldson and teammate Barron are tied with Taro Hirose of Michigan State with a DI-high five first-period points since Dec. 28.
ESPN+
•   All of Dartmouth home games will be carried this season on ESPN+ with Tyler Murray providing play-by-play at each home game in 2018-19.
•   In addition to games played in Hanover, ECAC Hockey road games at each school besides Rensselaer will also be carried on the network, making ESPN+ your home for 21-of-22 conference games and 25 regular season games total.
•   Postseason games will also be carried on ESPN+ in 2018-19 and will not need subscribers to pay any additional fees to watch the league's postseason.
ON THE AIR
•   Once again, Rob Kennedy will be the Voice of the Big Green on the radio.
•   Kennedy begins his second season with the team and will broadcast all 29 regular season games on 94 ESPN Radio (WTSL).
WHAT'S AHEAD?
•   Dartmouth is finally back home next weekend, hosting St. Lawrence and Clarkson at Thompson Arena. Puck drop for both games is set for 7 p.m.
