HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth women's swimming and diving defeated Cornell (169-131) and fell to Harvard (191-101) at Karl Michael Pool on Friday.

The meet was highlighted by a pair of victories by
Christina Cianciolo in the 500 and 1000 free.
Maggie Deppe-Walker also had a win in the 100 breast.

The Big Green started the day by taking fifth and sixth in the 200 medley relay with times of 1:47.59 and 1:49.97. ÂIn the 1000 free, Cianciolo touched in 10:19.22, leaving over six seconds between her and a Harvard swimmer in second.
Sarah Minnigh was fourth (10:31.03) and
Kenna Van Steyn took 10th (11:25.65).

Mia Leko and
Ashley Post touched a split second apart in the 200 free; Leko got in to the wall in third place (1:52.91), while Post followed right after (1:52.93).
Bridget Parker also swam the event, coming in seventh place (1:57.89). In the 100 back, three Dartmouth swimmers finished in the top eight.
Connie Zhang was fourth (57.50),
Kaia Reznicek was seventh (59.03) and
Susannah Laster took eighth (59.77).

Deppe-Walker won the 100 breast with a time of 1:05.61, out-finishing a Harvard swimmer by half a second.
Megan Tao followed in sixth place (1:07.92), and
Katherine Cane and
Summer Martin were seventh and eighth with times of 1:09.35 and 1:10.44, respectively. In the 200 breast Deppe-Walker came in fourth (2:24.50),
Siera Daly was sixth (2:28.09) and Parker took seventh (2:29.11).

In the 200 fly, Daly touched in third place (2:06.11) and was followed by Leko in fifth (2:07.08) and
Sarah Finlay in 10th (2:17.28). Three Big Green swimmers finished within seven one-hundredths of a second in 50 free, being led by
Zoe Wortzman in fourth (24.28).
Sophie Smith took fifth (24.32) and Post was sixth (24.36).
Eleanor Zwart also swam the event, coming in ninth (24.68).

On the 1-meter diving board,
Maggie Pionzio was sixth (227.65) and
Cypress Toomey took eighth (176.55). On 3-meter, Pionzio placed third (231.50) and Toomey was ninth (163.75). In the 100 free, Post came in third place (52.49), while Smith and Cane were fifth (53.04) and sixth (53.62), and Martin came in eighth (53.81).

Reznicek placed seventh in the 200 back (2:09.56) and was followed by Laster in ninth (2:12.19), Zhang in 10th (2:12.49) and Finlay in 11th (2:12.89). In the 500 free, Cianciolo touched in 5:02.84, leaving just two-tenths of a second between her and the swimmer in second. Minnigh was fifth (5:13.03) and Van Steyn took 10th (5:35.97). In the 100 fly, Leko placed second (57.48), finishing just five one-hundredths of a second ahead of a Cornell swimmer. Reznicek was seventh (58.52) and Zwart came in eighth place (59.48).

Parker and Daly touched a second apart in the 200 IM, with Parker taking third (2:12.73) and Daly coming in fourth (2:13.75). To end the meet, Dartmouth was first in the 400 free relay (3:31.42). Made up of Post, Smith, Zwart and Leko, the Big Green won by almost five seconds. Dartmouth's B relay was third (3:37.10).

The Green will compete in the Big Al Invitational at Princeton from Dec. 6-8.
