PRINCETON, N.J. - Â After day one of the Big Al Open, the Dartmouth men's swimming and diving team is in sixth place with 92 points, sitting ahead of John Hopkins in seventh with 68.
This year's meet includes Brown, Columbia, Denver, Dartmouth, Johns Hopkins, Penn State and Princeton.

To start the evening, the Big Green finished in ninth place in the 200 free relay (1:22.42). Made up of
Tim Park,
Connor LaMastra,
Brandon Liao and
John Hall, the relay beat Princeton to the wall by three tenths of a second.

LaMastra was second in the 500 free (4:22.40), swimming an NCAA B-Cut time and out-touching someone from Denver by just over a tenth. Park (4:31.34) and
Joe Moll (4:36.54) also competed in the event.

In the 50 free,
John Hall stayed very consistent from his morning swim to finish 20th (20.80), while LaMastra dropped a tenth of a second to take 27th (20.84).

On the 3-meter diving board,
Justin Sodokoff saw a 20-point improvement from prelims to finish in first place (333.70) to earn a full 20 points toward the team total.
Ray Neistat (255.60),
Jonathan Hu (255.50) and
Kyle Schubert (237.70) also picked up points.

In the 400 medley relay, the Green were 12th (3:20.21) and 14th (3:26.74).
