PRINCETON, N.J. – Dartmouth women's swimming and diving had another good evening at the Big Al Open on Saturday, moving up to fifth place with 190 points to sit ahead of Johns Hopkins with 163.
In the 200 medley relay, the Big Green came in ninth place (1:44.09). Composed of
Connie Zhang,
Megan Tao,
Katherine Cane and
Sophie Smith, the relay finished over a second ahead of Brown.
Three Dartmouth swimmers competed in the 400 IM, being led by
Bridget Parker in 16th (4:28.29).
Siera Daly took 21st (4:32.29) and
Sarah Finlay was 26th (4:52.12). In the 100 fly C final, Cane came in 20th place (56.14).
Mia Leko and
Ashley Post picked up a combined 19 points in the 200 free. Leko was fifth (1:49.86), and Post took 12th (1:49.81). Another trio of Green swimmers swam in the C final of the 100 breast. Tao finished highest in 19th (1:05.90) and was followed by
Kenna Van Steyn (1:06.75) and Cane (1:08.60).
Dartmouth had another good showing in the 100 back with five swimmers making it back to finals. Zhang was 16th (57.01) and
Kaia Reznicek was 24th (57.76).
Susannah Laster (57.38), Smith (57.40) and
Eleanor Zwart (58.38) all swam in the D final.
On the 1-meter diving board,
Isabella Lichen and
Maggie Pionzio earned a combined 20 points from placing eighth (227.90) and ninth (227.50), respectively.
To end the evening, Dartmouth was seventh in the 800 free relay (7:27.86). Made up of Post,
Sarah Minnigh,
Christina Cianciolo and Leko, the relay touched over a second ahead of Johns Hopkins.
The final day of the meet will begin at 10 a.m.
