HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth men's tennis is No. 28 in the country in the newest ITA National Rankings that were released on Wednesday afternoon.
Â
In addition to the team ranking, junior
Charlie Broom is No. 34 on the singles list, while he and classmate
David Horneffer are No. 19 in the doubles rankings.
Â
Since dual matches began back in January, Broom has played at the top spot in all nine matches and is currently sporting a 3-4 record. He had a 1-1 weekend at the ECAC Indoor Championship at Penn, dropping a very close match against his Quaker opponent on Friday before rebounding to take down a Princeton player in two quick sets.
Â
Playing at No. 1 doubles, Broom and Horneffer have a record of 5-2 this spring and are currently on a three-match winning streak after taking down players from Drake, Penn and Princeton.
Â
After splitting their matches at the championship, the Big Green have an overall record of 5-4. They have a big weekend ahead, as they will host Memphis, Wichita State and Boston University.
