PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Dartmouth men's swimming and diving team opened the 2019 Ivy League Championship on Wednesday evening with the swimming of two relays.

To start things off, the Big Green placed eighth in the 200-yard medley relay (1:30.36). Composed of
Matt Degtyar,
Connor Richmond,
Connor LaMastra and
Luke Rohlen, the relay touched two seconds behind Cornell.

Dartmouth was seventh in the 800-yard freestyle relay (6:33.83), breaking the program record from last season by less than a second. The relay made up of LaMastra,
Carter Jacobsen,
John Hall and
Joe Moll, left almost six seconds between it and the Big Red.

Day two of prelims will start with the 500-yard freestyle.
