CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Dartmouth women's rugby had a great start to the spring on Saturday, going 5-0 to win the Harvard 7s Tournament.
Ariana Ramsey led the team with 10 tries for a total of 50 points, finding herself on the scoresheet in all five of the Big Green's games and scoring both tries in the championship game against Harvard.
Camille Johnson had a good day with her four tries and eight conversions for 36 points.
"We are most proud that both sides stayed very focused on improving from match to match regardless of the results," head coach
Katie Dowty said. "The newer players in our second side got invaluable development opportunities and made huge strides in game understanding and execution.
"The final was a great game of rugby and a true test of our mettle," Dowty continued. "It had all the drama you could hope for. With two seconds on the clock and one last possession for a chance to win the game, the team made it happen. Ariana finished off an excellent day with the second of her two searing tries when we were able to get her the ball in space. It was one of those epic moments we all play for."
