BOSTON – The Dartmouth women's cross country team finished sixth at Friday's Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown hosted by Boston College at Franklin Park.
Â
The Big Green posted 188 points en route to the sixth-place showing with
Rachel Ludwikowski leading the way in 19th, crossing in 17:52.
Â
Like it had so many times last season, Dartmouth used a pack mentality to run together on the 6K course.
Lauren Sapone finished soon after Ludwikowski, crossing in 17:56 to take 22nd.
Â
Diana Vizza was 29th in 18:07, while
Breanna Glover (52nd, 18:28) and
Samantha Ford (66th, 18:41) rounded out the scoring for the Green and White.
Claire Dougherty (81st, 18:57) and
Corinne Robitaille (82nd, 18:58) followed suit as the team's next two runners.
Â
Syracuse won the race with an impressive 35 points, while the host Eagles were second with 83. Wake Forest (106), Harvard (138) and Georgia Tech (141) were the only other schools to edge out Dartmouth in the team standings.
Â
The Green will run again on Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh.
