NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seventh-seeded Dartmouth women's tennis ended the ECAC Indoor Championship on a high note, defeating No. 5 Brown, 4-1 to finish in fifth place.
The Big Green claimed the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and 1 positions.
Allison McCann and
Racquel Lyn had a 6-1 victory on court two, while
Nicole Conard and
Abigail Chiu followed that up with a 6-3 win at the top spot.
Chidimma Okpara made it 2-0 with her 6-1, 6-2 defeat of Julia Newman at the No. 4 singles position before the Bears got on the board with their lone win on court three. McCann and
Ashley Hess won at the No. 6 and 5 spots to give the match to Dartmouth.
The Green will have almost two weeks away from the court, coming back with home matches against UMass (Feb. 21) and Michigan State (Feb. 23).
