HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth heavyweight rowing team checked in at No. 8 in the nation in the Men's Varsity Eight Preseason Top-25 Coaches' Poll.
The Big Green finished the 2019 season in fifth place of the petite finals at the IRA National Championship on Lake Natoma in California.
Notable returners for Dartmouth include senior co-captains
Marc Sevastopoulo and
Brendan Caltavuturo, who both raced in the V8 last season.
Yale was voted as the No. 1 team in the country by the coaches and received all 11 first-place votes. Following the Bulldogs were California, Washington, Harvard, Brown, Northeastern, Boston University and the Big Green. Syracuse and Princeton rounded out the top-10.
Dartmouth has already raced in the Lake Las Vegas Invite and continues its spring season against Columbia and MIT in Overpeck, N.J. on April 4.
