PROVIDENCE, R.I. – On Saturday, Dartmouth's heavyweight rowing team traveled to Providence for a regatta against the Brown Bears.

The Big Green and Bears competed in three Varsity 8 races, starting with the 4V. Dartmouth had two boats in the race, as the 4V claimed the win (5:48.1). The 5V boat finished third overall, finishing in 6:03.7.

The 3V raced next, as Dartmouth finished in 5:46.1, earning the win after Brown was disqualified.

The 2V also claimed the win, finishing a second and a half faster than the Bears with a time of 5:30.2.

The 1V race was the final race of the day, as the Big Green looked to go four-for-four against the Bears. Dartmouth finished just nine tenths of a second behind Brown, claiming second overall with a time of 5:18.0.

The Big Green will be back in action this weekend, hosting the Lake Morey Invite on Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26. Dartmouth will race against Syracuse, Boston University, Wisconsin, Georgetown, and Columbia.
