Gilad Doron announced the 2019 Dartmouth volleyball team awards at the end-of-season Zoom banquet.

Bella Hedley was named MVP. As the only player to appear in all 89 sets this season, she had a career-high and team-leading 345 digs (3.88/set) and 24 aces (0.27/set). She also registered two kills, 72 assists and 26 points. She had double-digit digs in 24 matches and a career-high 22 against UConn. Her six aces against Brown puts her third in the all-time record book.

For the second year in a row,
Carly Tower was named the Servant Leader, which is given to the player who always puts her team before herself and embodies the core values of Dartmouth volleyball. At the end of her senior year, she was third in block assists (39) and blocks/set (0.75), and fourth in total blocks (41). She also registered 83 kills, 13 digs and 104.5 points. Tower had a season-high 11 kills, nine blocks and 15.5 points vs. Columbia. Her 206 career blocks puts her 10th in the all-time record book. She was also named Academic All-Ivy for the fall.

Taite Ryan received the Most Improved Player award. Throughout her freshman year, she recorded 41 kills, three aces, 75 digs, 12 total blocks and 50.5 points. She had double-digit digs in three matches, registering a season-high 13 in the last match of the year against Cornell.

Makenzie Arent was tabbed as the Rookie of the Year. Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week four times, Arent was first on the team in assists (636, 7.23/set), second in aces (21) and third in digs (239, 2.72/set), while also recording 44 kills, 18 total blocks and 74 points. She had a season-high 51 assists in the penultimate match of the year against Columbia and had 12 double-doubles throughout the campaign. Her 636 assists puts her 12th in the all-time record book for most assists in a season and career, while her 7.23 assists/set has her 19th.
