Dartmouthsports.com will be recognizing the senior student-athletes who had their spring seasons canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Today's Senior … Alec Vaules of the baseball team.
DartmouthSports.com: What is your most memorable on-field team moment?
Alec Vaules: Mike Brown's game-tying home run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth against Brown my freshman year.
DS: And your most memorable on-field individual moment?
AV: Throwing five shutout innings against Quinnipiac my junior year.
DS: Baseball players are known for nicknames. What is yours on the team and how did you get it?
AV: Billy. Eric [Stolt] and Trevor [Johnson] started calling me Billy last year (my first name is William) because they knew it bothered me. A couple months later and now even coach calls me Billy; I've learned to like it.
DS: Any hidden talents you can share?
AV: Hacky sack and juggling.
DS: If you could swap places with one teammate, who would it be and why?
AV: Anyone younger than me so I could get another year to play.
DS: What is your favorite place on campus?
AV: Red Rolfe Field at Biondi Park on a spring day.
DS: What are your plans after Dartmouth (or the spring term in general)?
AV: Getting my master's in engineering management next year at Dartmouth.
