Senior Spotlight: Ellie Carson

Dartmouthsports.com will be recognizing the senior student-athletes who had their spring seasons canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Today's Senior… Ellie Carson of women's lacrosse.

DartmouthSports.com: What is your favorite place on campus?
Ellie Carson: Collis. I think they have the best food on campus, and I can always find someone on the team there working.

DS: If you could swap places with one teammate, who would it be and why
EC: Tori. She has taken such a different course load than me, because she is on the pre-med track. I'd love to learn more in the healthcare field.

DS: What has been your best on-field memory thus far in your Dartmouth career?
EC: I think beating Penn last year, at Penn, on their senior day was the best so far. It was such a great redemption feeling after losing to them twice sophomore year, and the win made us tied for first in the Ivy League & ranked 11th in the country.

DS: How is Hanover different or similar to where you grew up?
EC: Hanover is very different from my hometown of Alexandria, Virginia. It is much, much warmer in Virginia, and there is a lot more going on because we live only 15 minutes outside of DC.

DS: What are your post-Dartmouth plans?
EC: I'm moving to New York City to work in finance.

DS: What is your hidden talent or something that someone might not know about you?
EC: I have played piano since kindergarten!

DS: Do you have a nickname on your team? Who gave it to you and why?
EC: I don't have a nickname, really, other than 'El' on the field for efficiency.

DS: What are you going to miss most about Dartmouth after you graduate?
EC: My team, for sure. It's not common that you play on a team with 35 other people that you feel like are part of your family, that would do anything for you. That is something that I will miss a ton.
