Widdecombe and Quiles Named Captains for 2021-22

The Big Green senior and junior and the first captains the team has had since the 2012-13 season
HANOVER, N.H. – Xander Centenari '13, the John Kenfield and Chuck Kinyon Head Coach of Men's Tennis, has elected captains for the 2021-22 season. The last time Dartmouth did so was during the 2012-13 season, when Centenari was one of three his senior year.

The Big Green will be led by senior Pierce Widdecombe and junior Alejandro Quiles throughout the year.

Widdecombe saw his fall start at the ITA Northeast Regionals, going 1-1 in singles and 1-2 in doubles. Quiles started the season on a four-match winning streak at the first tournament, beating players from Monmouth and Boston College and didn't see his first singles loss until almost a month into the season.

Back in 2019-20, Widdecombe went on a six-match unbeaten streak to begin the spring, and Quiles went 9-8 in singles.

Dartmouth will return to action in January.
