What is your favorite non-sports memory from your time at Dartmouth?
Not a specific memory, but I just really loved 19S. It was my last "normal spring" at Dartmouth, and I just remember the weather being absolutely beautiful and really getting to enjoy the outdoors. Also, our team also has a lot of fun traditions that take place in the spring. Some of my best Dartmouth memories are from that term!
Â
What is your favorite competition/athletic memory?
My favorite competition was HEPS my freshman year for indoor track. Although I was not competing, the energy in Leverone was electric. I have never seen it get so loud in there. It was so exciting having such a big competition on our home track.Â
Â
Why did you choose Dartmouth?
During my official visit, I really fell in love with Dartmouth. I was injured so I couldn't run with the team, and instead biked next to Claire Dougherty '20. She talked so positively about Dartmouth and the team itself (even after only being there for a couple of weeks). During my visit, I could see how close the team was, and that was something I really wanted. Also, when talking with the girls on the team, it was inspiring to see how many different passions they had. Obviously, they were passionate about running, but they still pursued other things on campus that interested them. I really felt (and still feel) that Dartmouth was the perfect place to push myself academically and athletically.Â
Â
What food could you eat every single day?
Some teddies super chunky peanut butter. So delicious.
Â
If you could swap places with one teammate, who would it be and why?
Hmm probably Lauren Ross. She is a pole vaulter and that is an event I love to watch, but was always too scared to try.Â
Â
If you could have played another sport, what would it be and why?
If I could have played another sport, it would have been soccer. I played a lot of club soccer growing up and through high school before prioritizing running. Running, especially track, is much more of an individual sport and sometimes I miss that team environment on the field.Â
Â
What was your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus is Memorial Field on a sunny day. Or the Green. I used to love getting pasta and a smoothie from Collis and having dinner with my friends on the Green!
Â
Other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life?
My two older brothers have had a huge impact on my life. Growing up, they teased me a lot, which I hated then but am very thankful for now. It gave me some tough skin! We all have a super close relationship today, which I am extremely grateful for. They are always there for me when I need them and give the best advice. I don't know what I would do without them!
