HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth men's tennis opened 2022 with a pair of wins against Binghamton (4-2) and Bryant (6-1) at the Boss Tennis Center on Saturday.
Â
"First of all, what a pleasure it is to be back competing in the Boss Tennis Center,"
Xander Centenari '13, the John Kenfield and
Chuck Kinyon Head Coach of Men's Tennis, said. "It's been a long time since the men's team has been able to compete in a dual match here. We started the day very excited and a bit nervous and got the chance to be tested early by a well-coached and fiery Binghamton. This team has learned to embrace adversity and took on the challenge to come back from losing the doubles point to put four points on the board in singles. This was a great test early for a young group that is hungry for competition.
Â
"We knew today was going to be physical and we were looking to test our guys early in the season to build a really strong physical base," Centenari continued. "The guys played tonight with a bit more confidence and belief and were able to battle through a tough Bryant team. This group is already banking some good experience and we are excited for another series of tests next weekend."
