SONOMA, Calif. — The Dartmouth men's golf program wrapped up its final competition of the 2022 fall slate with the third round of the Alister MacKenzie Invitational. The Big Green improved on their performance from the first two rounds a day prior, shooting 8-under par on Tuesday and closing out the event tied for seventh with Santa Clara.
Dartmouth battled until the very last putt, as
Cameron Keith sunk a birdie on his final hole to secure a tie with Santa Clara. The freshman closed out his event with the best score on his team, shooting 71-73-71-215, which was 1-under par. He secured a top-25 finish, tying for 15th in a field of 60 student-athletes.
Eli Kimche improved vastly on his play from yesterday, carding a 66 on a par 72 to bring his final score to even on the event. The sophomore joined Keith in the top 25, tying for 17th in the field. He recorded 13 pars, four birdies and an eagle en route to a phenomenal round at Sonoma Golf Club.
Mark Turner, a fifth-year captain for the Big Green, led by example on his final 18 holes of the MacKenzie Invitational. Turner shaved three strokes off his score after the first day of competition to close out the event tied for 20th in the field at 2-over par.

Alex Gu was steady throughout the final round, shooting 2-over par while recording 15 pars. He closed out his time in California tied for 33rd, while
Aaron Zhang finished his event tied for 44th in the field, with scores of 73-75-75-223.
Host team Cal overtook Minnesota to claim the team championship at the invitational, shooting 21-under par. The Gophers followed in second at 8-under par, while San Jose State took third, shooting 6-under on the event.
Long Beach State's Ian Gilligan maintained his lead on the field to claim the individual championship at 15-under par. Cal's Sampson Zheng carded a 206, which was good for second place, while San Jose State's Caleb Shetler and Minnesota's Antoine Sale shared third at 8-under par.
The Big Green's fall slate has concluded, and the spring schedule will begin in March of 2023. Dartmouth opens 2023 at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate event from March 6-7.
