HANOVER, N.H. — Senior
Alejandro Quiles and junior
Logan Chang will serve as co-captains for the Dartmouth men's tennis program during the 2022-23 season, as announced by John Kenfield and
Chuck Kinyon Head Coach of Men's Tennis
Xander Centenari '13.
Â
"Alejandro and Logan both being elected co-captains for this year is well deserved and reflective of how their teammates see them: current leaders that will continue to grow into their roles, and who are capable of the increased responsibilities that come with being co-captains of the team," said Centenari, once a Big Green captain himself. "Both demonstrate our mission, vision, and values on a daily basis through their actions. I'm excited to watch them grow and become more vocal in their roles to help us continue to build a championship culture."
Â
While picking up four victories in both singles and doubles, Quiles served as a co-captain during the 2021-22 campaign alongside
Pierce Widdecombe. They were Dartmouth's first since 2012-13 – Centenari's senior year.
Â
First-time captain Chang has a win to his credit already this fall after defeating a Drexel opponent on the second day of the Penn Invitational.
Â
The Big Green are set to host the Dartmouth Invitational beginning Friday, Oct. 21.
Hikaru Takeda will compete in the ITA Super Regionals at Harvard during the same weekend.
