HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth women's squash team opened the 2022-23 season against the No. 2 Harvard Crimson at the Berry Squash Courts on Wednesday night. The Big Green were unable to overcome their Ivy League foe, falling 9-0 at home.
Despite a strong showing in the second game against Harvard's Marina Stefanoni, senior
Claire Aube lost a 3-0 decision at position No. 1.
Ellie Burke pushed Saran Nghiem to the limit in the second game at position No. 2, but ultimately lost the game 13-11 and dropped the match, 3-0.
The Big Green's
Naaz Valvani battled Grace Steelman in exhibition competition in a spirited five-game match. Over the course of 42 minutes, Valvani and Steelman exchanged games before the Crimson's representative won the fifth and final game to take the match.
Callie Worth and
Devon Glaser made their debuts for the Big Green. Both Glaser and Worth were competitive in the final game of their respective matches.
Dartmouth takes the court against on Saturday, December 3 at 1 p.m. against Virginia. The match will take place in Hanover at the Berry Squash Courts and will be streamed on Stretch Internet.
