HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth women's hockey team is set for a pair of ECAC Hockey matchups this weekend on the road. The Big Green open their road trip with a Friday night game against St. Lawrence before battling No. 11 Clarkson on Saturday afternoon. Dartmouth looks to bounce back from a pair of losses and climb the conference standings.
LAST TIME OUT
The Big Green last took the ice on Tuesday night for a non-conference tilt against the No. 13 Vermont Catamounts. Dartmouth held strong for the majority of the first two periods, as junior forward
Abby Grexton tied the game, 1-1 in the second.
Two goals in 39 seconds from the Catamounts late in the second period shifted the momentum of the contest. Vermont scored a third unanswered goal late in the third period to clinch a 4-1 home win over the Big Green.
Dartmouth fell to 3-3-0 on the road and 2-2-0 in non-conference play. Sophomore goaltender
Maggie Emerson made 27 saves, while
Sophie Robinson recorded an assist on Dartmouth's lone goal.
LOOKING FOR CONFERENCE SUCCESS
The Big Green return to ECAC Hockey competition after four non-conference games against the likes of Post, Saint Anselm and Vermont. This weekend sees Dartmouth take the ice against conference foes for the first time since November 12 and its first road conference action since November 5.
Dartmouth enters the weekend with a 1-6-0 record in ECAC Hockey games, with its lone win coming against RPI on November 4.
Annie King and
Sydney Herrington each scored in the Big Green's 2-0 win over the Engineers on the road.
With four points, the Big Green are the No. 11 team in the conference. Wins over St. Lawrence and Clarkson would propel Dartmouth up the standings and into a stronger position heading into the December break.
This weekend's games serve as Dartmouth's final conference matchups of 2022, as the Big Green return to ECAC Hockey competition on January 6 at Princeton.
SCOUTING ST. LAWRENCE
St. Lawrence hosts Dartmouth with a record of 8-10-0 and an ECAC Hockey mark of 2-3-0. The Saints split a non-conference series with Mercyhurst on the road last weekend.
The Saints hold conference wins over RPI and Union, sweeping a weekend against the pair from October 28-29. Since then, St. Lawrence has suffered conference losses to Princeton, Quinnipiac and Cornell.
Junior forward Julia Gosling leads the Saints with 23 points in 18 games. She leads her squad with 10 goals and 13 assists and has registered eight points in five conference games.
Between the pipes, Lucy Morgan has made 15 starts for St. Lawrence and holds a save percentage of .910 and a goals against average of 2.47.

St. Lawrence holds a 39-32-4 advantage against Dartmouth in the all-time series and has won eight of the last 10 meetings between the teams.
Last season, Dartmouth and St. Lawrence split the season series. The Big Green won the first matchup in Canton, New York, 6-2 before the Saints returned the favor with a 6-2 win in Hanover.
