Throughout the summer, DartmouthSports.com will be focusing on members of the Class of 2024 who are currently in their "Sophomore Summers" presented by the Norwich Inn.
This installment focuses on
Logan Chang, a member of the men's tennis team. Chang hails from Old Westbury, N.Y. and had a 5-4 singles record this spring.Â
DartmouthSports.com: What have you been doing during this sophomore summer?
Logan Chang: This summer I have been working as a software engineering intern in the health information technology and clinical research industry. I've also been training with my teammates here at Dartmouth.
DS: What's your favorite spot on campus?
LC: My favorite place on campus has to be the river. It is awesome to go tubing and cool off there, especially now in the summer!
DS: If you could play another sport at Dartmouth, what would it be and why?
LC: If I could play another sport at Dartmouth, I would love to be on the golf team. I played golf growing up and still love to play on weekends when I'm not playing tennis.
DS: What show do you binge watch?
LC: I just finished the latest season of Ozark on Netflix and loved it, I highly recommend it.
DS: What was it in the recruiting process that sold you on Dartmouth?
LC: I was thrilled with the opportunity to study at a world-class institution and play tennis at the D-1 level. I also loved the closeness and camaraderie within the team and how supportive the team is of one another, both on and off the court.
DS: What is your useless/hidden talent?
LC: I can solve a Rubik's Cube.
DS: How is Hanover different or similar to where you grew up?
LC: Much like Hanover, I grew up in an area that was fairly secluded and connected with the outdoors. However, I live about a 20 minute drive from beaches and an hour drive from New York City, so Hanover feels more isolated than where I'm from.
DS: What has been your best on-field memory thus far in your Dartmouth career?
LC: My favorite memory has been clinching our win at Loyola Marymount on the last day of our spring break trip to Southern California this year.Â
