Big Green Opens 2022 Season at Vermont Invite

Lawrence paced the Big Green with a third-place finish
ST. ALBANS, Vt. — The Dartmouth men's cross country team opened the 2022 season at the Vermont Invite on Saturday afternoon in St. Albans, Vermont.

UMass Lowell claimed the top spot with 28 points followed by UMass Amherst (51), Vermont (56) and Stonehill (104).

The Big Green had three runners compete, with James Lawrence finishing third with a time of 25:39.5, just 25 seconds off the first-place finisher. Ben Williams grabbed a 14th-place finish, crossing the finish line at 26:24.7. Rounding out the Big Green was Alexander Craig in 36th-place with a time of 27:32.6.

Dartmouth is in action next Saturday as they host the Maribel Sanchez Souther Invitational. The race is scheduled to start at 11:15 a.m. and live results will be available through Lancer Timing.
