HANOVER, N.H. — Will Daley of the Dartmouth men's cross country team was named a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Athlete, as announced by the organization on Thursday. Additionally, the Big Green were recognized as an All-Academic Team.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 (or 10 percent) at the NCAA Regional Championships or as an All-American at the NCAA Championships.
Daley, an engineering major, finished in 16
th place at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship in New York back in November to earn All-Region honors.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 scale, including the most recent grading period. Dartmouth performed well in the classroom, earning a cumulative GPA of 3.5 to earn the recognition.
