Tymorek won the New England Championship on Saturday afternoon

HANOVER, N.H. — The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its M-F Athletic National Athletes of the Week on Monday afternoon, and Dartmouth women's cross country junior Ellie Tymorek was recognized as the NCAA Division I Women's recipient.

Tymorek earns the recognition after winning the New England Championship on Saturday afternoon at Franklin Park in Boston.

She opened a sizeable gap at the 1.5k split and never looked back, finishing the race with a time of 18:04.8 and winning the race by 20.1 seconds.

This is the second time in program history that Dartmouth has had an M-F Athletic National Athlete of the Week and the first since Abbey D'Agostino in the 2013 season.

Tymorek and the Big Green head down to Virginia this weekend for the XC23 Invite. Live results will be available through PrimeTime Timing and the meet will be available to stream on ACC Network Extra.
