THIS WEEKEND'S GAMES
The Dartmouth field hockey team continues its road swing this weekend when the Big Green play a pair of games in Connecticut, at Yale on Friday and Sacred Heart on Sunday. Gametimes are 5 p.m. (Friday, on ESPN+ and NESN+) and 4 p.m. (Sunday, on NEC Front Row). Both games will be played at Yale's Johnson Field. The Big Green look to bounce back from an 0-2 weekend in Philadelphia that featured a pair of competitive games at Penn and La Salle.

WITH A WIN...
- (With a win Friday) Dartmouth would stand 5-6 on the season, which would mark its best record after 11 games since the 2012 season (when the Big Green were 6-5).
- (With a win Friday) The Big Green would be 2-3 in the Ivy League, its best league record after five games since 2018, which was also the last time they won multiple league games in the same season.
- (With a win Friday) Dartmouth would improve to 26-21-2 all-time against Yale and snap a six-game losing streak against the Bulldogs, beating the Bulldogs for the first time since Oct. 17, 2015 on the road behind a 3-2 final.
- (With a win Friday or Sunday) Dartmouth would pick up its fifth win of the season, which would already be its most wins in any season since 2018 (when the Big Green finished 6-11).
- (With a win Sunday) Dartmouth would improve to 5-1 all-time against Sacred Heart.
- (With a win Sunday) The Big Green would improve to 2-0 all-time on the road at Sacred Heart, also beating the Pioneers in New Haven on Sept. 18, 2016.

LAST TIME OUT...
- Freshman Lucia Campaño scored just 2:09 into Sunday's game, but La Salle evened the score with six seconds remaining in the first quarter and went on to score once in each of the proceeding quarters to defeat the Dartmouth field hockey team, 3-1.
- The game was played at Penn's Ellen Vagelos Field.
- Trailing by two heading to the fourth, the Big Green were able to generate some sustained offensive pressure, but were unable to get a shot off.

ALL-TIME VS. YALE
Dartmouth leads the all-time series with Yale, 25-21-2, but the Bulldogs have won six straight in the all-time series. Last season featured a slim 2-1 Yale victory. Dartmouth's last win came on Oct. 17, 2015 on the road behind a 3-2 final. Since that point, two of the next six games were one-goal margins (last season and 2018, a 4-3 Yale win in Hanover).

SCOUTING YALE
Yale is 4-8 on the season and like Dartmouth, 1-3 in Ivy League play having faced the same three Ivy opponents as the Big Green so far. The Bulldogs' win came at Brown, 2-1 in overtime, while they lost to Penn (3-2), Harvard (3-2), Cornell (3-0). Poppy Beales leads the team in both goals (6) and points (12), with Ellie Barlow owning two goals and a team-leading four assists for eight points. Luanna Summer has started all 12 games in goal, tallying a 2.50 goals against average and 71.4 save percentage.

ALL-TIME VS. SACRED HEART
Dartmouth is 4-1 all-time against Sacred Heart, most recently beating the Pioneers last season at home, 4-2, in a game that featured four different Big Green goal scorers. The lone game of the series at Sacred Heart was in 2016, a 3-0 Dartmouth victory.

SCOUTING SACRED HEART
Sacred Heart enters a Friday night game at Rider at 3-8, 1-2 in the Northeast Conference. The Pioneers have won two of their last four, beating Quinnipiac and Wagner at home on consecutive Sundays via identical 2-1 finals. Isabelle Chamberlain leads the Pioneers in goals (6) and points (14), scoring her six goals on just 14 shots for an impressive 42.9 shooting percentage. Madelyn Kidd is second in goals and points with three and six, respectively. Samantha Maresca has started all 11 games in goal, recording a 4.16 goals against average and 64.6 save percentage.

ODDS AND ENDS
- Dartmouth's 23 goals through the first 10 games are its most since the 2018 season when the Big Green had 24 at the same point in the season.
- The Big Green have two overtime wins in the same season for the first time since 2019. The last time they had three was in 2005 (two in overtime and one that ended in penalty strokes).
- Dartmouth is 16th nationally in penalty corners per game (7.10), 19th in assists per contest (2.10) and 29th in points per game (6.70).

After this weekend, Dartmouth returns home next Saturday (Oct. 21) to host Princeton at 11 a.m. before heading to UMass the following day to face the Minutewomen at 1 p.m.
