HANOVER, N.H. —
Amelia Gibbs and
Natalie Grover of the Dartmouth volleyball team were among the Ivy League's postseason award winners, which were announced on Thursday. Gibbs, like the 2022 season, received an All-Ivy honorable mention, and Grover was the Big Green's Academic All-Ivy honoree.
Â
Gibbs, a senior from Palo Alto, California, ranked third in the Ivy League with a career-best .362 hitting percentage. She finished her Dartmouth career with the best hitting percentage in program history (.355) and owns three of the four most efficient single-season performances ever seen by the Big Green. The final match of her senior season was one of her best, hitting .682 with 15 kills in a four-set win over Penn. Gibbs recorded double-digit kills in five different matches this season and hit better than .400 in four of those outings.
Â
Grover, another senior from California (Menlo Park), received a nod to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team in 2022 and added to her list of accolades with a 2023 Academic All-Ivy honor. The psychology major had 10 or more kills in two matches this season, including a season-high 12 to help the Big Green to a five-set win over Seton Hall on the opening day of the Dartmouth Invitational.
Â
Ivy League champion Yale earned three of the conference's four major awards, including Player of the Year Carly Diehl.
