CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — The No. 10 Dartmouth men's squash team found itself in a close matchup at No. 8 Virginia Sunday, getting victories at positions Nos. 1, 4, 7 and 8, but it wasn't enough in a 5-4 loss. Junior
Christian Shah improved to 2-0 on the weekend at No. 1, beating UVA's John Paul Tew on Sunday, 3-2 (11-8, 9-11, 12-10, 6-11, 11-9).
Also picking up a 3-2 win was sophomore
Felix Feldman at No. 7. Feldman and his opponent Maxwell Velazquez alternated wins over the first five sets, with Feldman on top in the end, 11-9, 4-11, 11-8, 8-11, 11-9. It marked Feldman's second win of the weekend, after beating MIT's Mitav Nayak 3-0 on Saturday.
Dartmouth's two other wins were 3-1, coming from senior
David Rubin at No. 4 and first year
Callan Venkatesan at No. 8.
The Cavaliers' five wins were 3-0 sweeps.
Dartmouth returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 13 at Amherst.
