HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth field hockey team was recognized on Thursday for its continued success in the classroom with 18 Big Green student-athletes named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad. The 18 honorees marked the second most in the Ivy League, only behind Harvard (19) and just ahead of Yale (16), Cornell (16) and Penn (15).
The NFHCA National Academic Squad program, sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, honors undergraduate collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year, and were nominated by their NFHCA member coach.
The GPA threshold increased from 3.3 in the past. The Big Green have enjoyed impressive success in the classroom presently, and historically. Among the honorees (listed below), seniors Holley Cromwell, Lauren Devletian, Myah Pease, Amélie Perrier and Hatley Post were all four-year honorees. Post was named Academic All-Ivy League this fall.
